This Compassion Cultivation Training™ (CCT) course is taught by Hooria Jazaieri. Hooria has been a dedicated practitioner of mindfulness meditation for 13 years and compassion meditation for 8 years. Hooria has extensive experience teaching meditation in secular academic and clinical contexts and is also an experienced researcher. She completed the CCT teacher training program at Stanford University and is trained and certified to teach CCT through Stanford University's School of Medicine, Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE). Hooria teaches the 8-week CCT program at Stanford University School of Medicine and is a certified teacher of Search Inside Yourself (SIY), a mindfulness-based emotional intelligence program developed at Google.

Her research at Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley in the areas of mindfulness, compassion, emotion, and emotion regulation has been published in leading academic journals in the fields of psychology, psychiatry, and neuroscience. Hooria's formal education background includes the University of Washington, Santa Clara University, and the University of California, Berkeley.
